I am asking for some help in locating any specific, preferably impartial, research comparing the validity of polygraph vs. CVSA. Our legislators here in Kentucky are trying to tackle recidivism and have including the following line in the proposed bill. "439.335 is amended to read as follows: In considering the granting of[ a] parole and the terms of parole, the parole board shall[is authorized to] use the results from an inmate's validated risk and needs assessment[ computer voice stress analysis, the polygraph, truth serum,] and any other scientific means for personality analysis that may hereafter be developed, to define the terms and intensity of supervision before granting[ a] parole." Any help is greatly apprciated. IP: Logged |

At the 2009 APA seminar in Nashville Dr Frank HORVATH provided information on some recent (University of Florida, 2006 and University of Oklahoma, 2007) studies. I don’t have his email or address, but I’m sure someone on this forum will have that information.IP: Logged |
